4 Pair UTP Cat6
(PE & SWA)
Application
Category 6 cable (Cat6 cable) is a standardised cable for Gigabit Ethernet and other network physical layers that is a backward compatible with the Category 5, 5e and 3 cable standards. Compared with Cat 5 and 5e; Cat 6 features more stringent specifications for crosstalk and system noise.
Category 6 cable & patch standard provides performance of up to 250MHz and up to 10GbE up to 100m and is suitable for 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX (fast ethernet), 1000BASE-T/1000BASE-TX (gigabit ethernet) and 10GBASE-t (10-gigabit ethernet).
Description
Category 6 cable (Cat6 cable) consists of 23AWG Solid plain annealed copper wire with HDPE (High Density Polyethelyene insulation), cross web filler and a choice of PVC, LSNH or PE (Polyethelyne) sheath. Available as unscreened (U/UTP), individual foil screened (F/UTP), and individual foil and collective braid screened (S/FTP).
