Corefix wall fixings are an innovative steel-cored expansion plug for robust fixing into drylined walls.
Fixing to drylined walls has long been problematic. Corefix provides a reliable solution for fixing heavy items to plasterboard supported on battens or dot and dab, or similar substrates.
In drylined wall construction the plasterboard is selectively supported, resulting in a void behind the majority of the plasterboard.
A conventional expansion plug and screw or frame fixing will typically impart a compressive point load which can deflect or crush the plasterboard into the void. Corefix prevents this issue by transferring the load directly to the solid masonry by way of the steel insert.
BENEFITS:
- Superfast installation
- No bowing of plasterboard
- Tested to 250kg
- Safe working load of 90kg based on 4 x Corefx fxings
- Standard tools required
TO SUPPORT:
- Wall mounted large screen TVs
- Wall hung cabinets
- Boilers
- Radiators and sanitaryware
- Shelves
TECHNICAL:
The performance of Corefix has been independently tested and verified. Corefix has a maximum recommended load of 90kg*, without the influence of edge or distance spacing. (*based upon shelf fixed onto drylined wall with 4 x Corefix fixings).
